So I've got this issue with my 2022 Toyota supra.
A couple of days ago my alarm started going off randomly while I was sleeping, I got up unlock it relock it and it, while it initially stopped it soon kept going and I ended up having to leave the car unlocked to stop it.

The next day my alarm indicator led on the rear view mirror kept flashing whilst driving the car.

Now the alarm is going off even whilst driving the car and I can't find anyway to stop it from going off.

I checked all the first initial points making sure all the doors and windows bonnet and boot are securely shut.
I can't find anyway to shut it up. The car is booked into Toyota today for them to look at, has anyone else seen this? Can you offer any idea what might be causing it? Thank you.

Could be a battery issue (key fob or 12v) or a sensor. I'm just someone on the Internet guessing but the batteries are easy things to check on.

Did dealer install an aftermarket alarm/lo-jack device? I can't imagine the factory alarm configuration even has the ability to go off while the vehicle is in operation..

Thanks for replies, I've had vehicle from new, never put anything in OBD port, and tried the 2nd key.
No additional alarms as far as I'm aware! I'll update with what Toyota come up with!

Change batteries on all your remotes (or lock your car then just remove them - see if it happens again)

Even though you haven't plugged anything into the OBD, if you bought it used, someone may have left you a present (ECUTEK OBD, etc). Still check if anything is plugged in there.

Uninstall the Supra app if you have it just to cross that off the list.

It's time to replace your battery. All kinds of wacko things happen when its about to die. Heck I had windows opening and closing randomly on a corvette i had in the past. Now I replace my battery every 3 years on every car no matter it's condition.

I would still check it. Sometimes dealers add a GPS tracking device on it.

Doesn’t mean someone else hasn’t put something in there.
There’s a joke in there somewhere….something along the lines of ā€˜that’s what she said….’:hmm:

Would be keen to see what Toyota comes back with. Mine started yesterday. Haven't driven it yet to see if the alarm goes off when the car is moving. The alarm light flashes while unlocked which is a bit weird. I suspect it is a sensor. My Ctek CS One charger suggests battery is in good condition and fully charged but I guess there could be a fault it is not picking up. Got it booked in for tomorrow so only 1 more night of annoying the neighbours.

Quick update, the issue is still not resolved, but the alarm has stopped going off for now.
I am getting the alarm indicator light flashing constantly though, even when driving.

Toyota did a lot of head scratching and after having my car for almost a week (and contacting Toyota head office) they have decided they need to order an alarm module for it, which is located in the indicator light assembly?!?

It's booked in for February when they expect the part to arrive, and they have confirmed it will be repaired under warranty.

Fingers crossed this fixes the problem. I did try both keys, in case I didn't mention earlier.
