I'm just going ceramic as I'm not sure how the PPF would work with the matte finish. If I can get the smart insurance though it should help with any stone chip repairs and a lot cheaper than PPF! Not sure how good the repair will look though...

I'm having PPF on the front panels and side skirts only, rather than all over to save some money. The PPF will be XPEL (https://www.xpel.com/shop/paint-protection-film/stealth) and so works on matte. Saw it in person on an AMG and it's more satin than really matte, but works ok.

I'm also going for the ceramic coating and full detailing rather than letting the dealer do it.

Wouldn't waste your money on supaguard - you can buy it on eBay for about £50!

Get proper G techniq ceramic coat to protect the car.

For Gap, goto ALA and use the code MSE25. They are the best in the business for Gap and that code gives you 25% off.

A90 Edition Final Price 56,495 Organising my gap insurance independently and been quoted £170 for 5 years which is much cheaper than Toyota. Also paint and wheel insurances don't cover Matte paintwork so that is pointless for myself. The paint was already included in the A90 price.

I got one! I wasn't sure if it was for everyone that ordered or not because a few weeks ago I noticed you could order one on the website so I asked for one and it said it shipped and never appeared!

Well, I didn't order one, I had no idea about them. Just came home to the black envelope. Did yours have your full name printed on the front?

Yeah, got my black envelope yesterday with my name on front.

Called into dealer, last weekend, said I can have mine on 1st September and an area in showroom will be put aside for when it arrives. Asked if I required GAP insurance & Superguard, went quite when I mentioned ceramic coating.

Following the Supra Test Drive email, left me wondering when the test drive is going to happen and whose vehicle will it be in.

Tried getting an insurance quote from Directline, model not on there system and require reg. number that I don't have, they then proceeded to quote for a Supra, extra £218 for 7 months, but to ring back when I have the required info as prices change daily.

The test drives for people who couldn't attend the Thruxton event seems to be a complete mess. At my dealer there are two people that couldn't make it and there is no info about the drives. Just an email saying they will be called to organise it.

The cars are held centrally by Toyota and will be making their way around the country at some point. Supposedly they are all fitted with trackers and have specific people dealing with it and also costs the dealers I think £125 to book the car for the drive, or so I've heard.

Hopefully it will all be organised soon!

Received the brochure also. Mines currently showing as in build but no ETA which is weird. I also received an email on Thursday about a test drive over the coming weeks:

    FEEL THE THRILL OF SUPRA

We're sorry you couldn't make the Supra Test Drive Experience, but there's still a chance to get behind the wheel of this legendary model.

Experience Supra's turbocharged engine and high-performance handling first hand with an exclusive test drive.

We’ll give you a call in the next few weeks on the number you supplied with your reservation, to confirm when the Supra will be in your area and available to test drive.

Curious. I attended Thruxton, but today I got an email asking me to allocate the dealer I wanted to take my test drive. Sorta funny when my car has already been delivered to the dealer.

I also chased over the Supaguard. Reply from the dealer was:

"My manager is very keen for this car to be as good as it can be on your collection day so he is arranging for someone to come from Intercleanse head-office to come prepr your car. Rather than our usual guy. This is definitely a good thing!!"

I got that email as well about allocating a dealer for the drive, but I assumed it is because I've signed up to the mailing list for more info several times and thought it was more to do with that. But if you've got one as well maybe going to everyone? I'll fill it out then just in case!

Anyone heard anything about their car's PDI? My dealer still hasn't received the computer/cables etc needed, let alone had the other people come to activate it. Looks less and less likely that I'll be able to pick up on the 2nd...
