don’t buy this exhaust. It’s a power DOWNGRADE. The exhaust piping is smaller than stock, and you 100% don’t want that ever

OEM exhaust is 80.5mm after the downpipe before the resonator, and 69-79mm after the resonator to the muffler. Ark is 76mm throughout.

She might be correct to say that the Ark is less airflow than OEM.

The difference after the downpipe is regressive on the Ark (76mm vs 80.5), which could retard turbo spool time and flow rate (power loss). However, the Ark midpipes are quite a bit larger than the 69mm "crush" sections of the OEM exhaust. As airflow on an exhaust system is restricted by the narrowest section, the narrowest section rises from 69mm on OEM to 76mm on Ark.

The post-downpipe and midpipes changes probably net out to be flat to slightly negative performance versus OEM. I wager it would be in the noise. More conservatively, I will say that the Ark is a solution primarily for its sound and does not convey additional performance.

There's nothing wrong with that. That's what some people want. But it's not a choice I'd recommend to someone looking for a power bump: that requires the diameter to be larger than OEM throughout the entire system.

In normal mode, how much louder over stock is it?

lol, I actually don’t want it louder than stock in normal mode, I get up early for work didn’t want to wake the family and neighbors

I am literally the CEO of the largest tuning company on the globe for Triumph motorcycles and have worked in this industry including time as a Mercedes-AMG technician since the year 1999.

All I do all day, every day is tune engines. This exhaust is a performance downgrade that isn’t at all worth pursuing when there are tons of valved exhaust systems on the market that at least improve on flow and efficiency.

I for example, went with Active Autowerke catback and their catted downpipe. Larger downpipe, larger catback. Quiet with the valve closed, and howls with it open.
