Have you updated?
There was a version 1.4 update recently.
-Injection duration changed to prevent a potential torque limitation.

I've been running this the same Multimap for ~1y (since release), no issues.
My 2nd gear was jerky but it was related to how I had setup XHP stage 2.
I went down to stage 1, much smoother for my setup.
Relaxed+ also helped, its butter smooth.

Thank you for your reply!

I'm still running the 1.3 version - I can try to update to 1.4.

I do not have XHP - however, I'm wondering too if I should buy the XHP Trans tune package - this might let me be able to read any error codes from the Trans ECU...

Pulled car out of storage today for emissions testing - which I failed, but thats another story.

I noticed no issues with the transmission until AFTER it warmed up - then the 1-2 jerkiness happened in "D" and "M" modes.

After failing emissions, I reflashed the car to BM3 Multimap Stage 2 (V1.4) to retest - and took car for a ride - still jerkiness.

I then flashed with XHP Stage 1 (v1.1) and the behavior still exists - which to me says something mechanical with the transmission, torque converter or valve body. I'm thinking valve body because all other gears are ok, but I'm not a tranny expert (heh heh).

After I get emissions sorted, I'll have to maybe have Pure Stage 1 put in. I'm not sure I want a high stall torque converter though...

Update on this -

I cleared all adaptations using BM3 and reflashed.

I then flashed to "XHP Stage 2" and drove the car around in "D" switching from "Sport" to "Normal" and no issues after the car is warmed up.

I noticed some hesitation at first and it was at low RPMS in 1 -> 2, but anything after 3k rpms the car shifted fine from 1-2.

It seems to have gone away for now, but i'll make plans to upgrade everything so that I'm ready when the time comes....so strange.

I just starting this same issue recently. Could it be related to bad spark plugs or bad gas? I don't see it being the trans when it shift up and down fine in other gears

Sorry you are having this issue!

When I first noticed it, it was when I was shifting below 3k rpms like in a parking lot, anything above that it was fine.

Since I reflashed my car and cleared adaptations and am now using XHP Stage 2 I am not seeing the issue.

My car only has 2,800 miles on it, so doubt it was the plugs - I guess it could have been bad gas as I am using an E50 blend. I had no check engine lights and no trans codes set.

If it had continued I was going to start logging with my BM3 app to see what was going on.

I also changed out the catless exhaust to an AMS Catted downpipe in order to pass emissions, doubt that impacted anything but it was another change.

I'll keep this thread updated with anything that comes up.

How many miles are on your car? What mods do you have?

Thanks for the info! I'm at 24k and stage 2 tune dp intake. Did you try reseting your adaptions before doing trans tune? If that's the only fix I might have to do it tomorrow

I only had the issue on the 1->2 shift, all other shifts and even downshifts were totally fine.

I did not try to clear adaptations before doing the trans tune.

I already told you the fix. Drive it more, you'll get used to the shift from 1st to 2nd. There's nothing wrong, you're just not used to it.

I was used to the how the car shifted, its how I noticed the issue as I have owned it since new with like 2 miles on it. The issue appeared one day just driving around like normal, not even beating on the car. I wonder if maybe the adaptations just finally stuck after that amount of time/mileage and showed the issue, but it was very strange regardless.

I'm ready and available to yank the transmission and throw in a built Pure, but I'm going to wait it out a bit more as it is no longer displaying the strange behavior.

this is the answer.
That was a thought of mine as well, until I would have the transmission updated if it kept happening. I just like to keep the functionality of my car OEM as I can :)
