Auto taking long to shift from 1st to 2nd?

I got my '21 in March of last year. 6.5k miles on it now. At first the auto shifted on its own very smoothly at low speeds, shifting from 1st to 2nd around 1500? rpm. Now at low speeds it won't shift out of 1st until 2-2.5k rpm which makes for jerky driving down low (even out of sport mode). I have done most of my driving in manual mode and I have on very rare occasion ran up the rpm in 1st before shifting, so maybe I "taught" the ecu this, but as much as I try to reteach it to shift into 2nd at low rpm, it stays like that. It's not particularly bothersome since I'm in manual mode most of the time anyway, but I wonder if I should try to flash the ecu and get it to forget? Any thoughts?
