Anyone care to share what backroads and where they like to go for drives?

I live in Orange County and the only back road I know of is Santiago Canyon heading south from Orange down to RSM (past Cooks).

Not much to see on Santiago Canyon but it’s a good long stretch of winding road with no stop lights. Often see other sports cars cruising there.

Come out my way (San Bernardino mountains) for some other fun roads. Cant beat the views at 6000ft elevation either.

Azusa Canyon or Glendora Mtn Road. They meet at a bridge so they are essentially the same to me. Best canyon to drive ever. Just be mindful of police during high traffic hours

Back when i was stock and the pandemic officially announced it's first "stay at home" order. Lyons Valley backroads to Alpine. 13 miles of straight up danger lmao.

I stay away from GMR these days. Way too many horror stories from back in my teenage days. Seen multiple people crash, couple people almost go off the side of the mountain, one of my friends died in an accident and I have been almost run off the road so many times its not even funny. Lots of good memories at the fork though.

It is by far one of the best mountain roads to drive but other drivers have taken the fun out of it for me.

Those look like some messed up roads! They need a repave.

As long as you go in the evening/dusk and look for drivers with oncoming headlights you should be ok. I wont deny there's a ton of shotheads that wreck in azusa, but as long as you drive within control and be mindful of oncoming drivers there's nothing to fear. everyone is just trying to have fun up there, not commit suicide lol
