Super embarrassed to even ask this but here goes it. Trying to remove battery for winter storage, but can't seem to figure out the positive cable side to remove the whole battery. I feel like I'm going to rip/break something.

Why do you want to remove the battery?

I have always left the batteries in the car with a trickle charger attached to it - in this car there is a negative (ground) post on the passenger side near where it says "supra" on the plastic, and the positive terminal has a red cover on it - I connect the battery charger there.

I don't have a garage so I use a storage unit and want to put it on a charger.

I see.

Make sure you pump up the air in the tires too so you dont get flat spots, fill up the tank with high octane fuel and put in some Stabil as well.

See at time 13:38 in this video for battery removal.
