Bay Area Best Dealers/Indies for Maintenance (esp East Bay)

Hey all - service is coming up and wondering if anyone has recommendations for routine maintenance in the Bay Area, either dealerships or indies (prefer indies for cost, obvs, but frankly, dealerships have more convenient hours). Will go anywhere for good, affordable work, but would be nice if there is something in the East Bay. I've been to Elite in Burlingame for my previous car and they did great work but it's a little far for me now.

I take most of my cars to Edge Motorworks. And the Supra is the only 1 of them that is a "BMW".

Do you mean Edge Motorworks in San Ramon or Fremont? Somehow there appears to be two of them.

I’ve used Performance Autowerk in Dublin for a couple things, and they have been really quick. The parking lot is hard to get into if you are lowered though.

Great thread as I am interested in finding other options that could be better for me as I am in the east area as well.

I’ve taken mine to Fremont Toyota a few times and they did a great job. They see a lot of Supra’s so I trusted they knew what they were doing.

My most recent service I did was at Dublin Toyota since I moved that area…. Pricing is ridiculous there (i was curious on what spark plugs would run to do through them as i just crossed 40k miles and it was $949 lol) but they seemed nice. Advisor I got wasn’t all that knowledgeable and was just kind of short and not open to really providing a good service. facility was massive and very new looking.

I took my car to Edge Motorwerke in Fremont as I saw great reviews for my chargepipe popping off while driving and i don’t have the method to diagnose myself. They were really nice and provided an awesome in-depth review of what they found and thought was the issue. leaks everywhere in chargepipe and air intake. They were gonna order the wrong parts when i declined their service, about 750 to fix it up and replace damaged seals. I probably wouldn’t go again but i’m open to trying their other location.

In summary, still looking for that amazing shop that knocks it out of the water so looking forward to other recommendations.

Yeesh, is that for plugs + coils at least? Or just plugs? Appreciate your writeup!

price was parts and labor cost for just installing the plugs lmao

Not East Bay, but if you do find yourself on the other side Performance Dynamic has been incredible to work with for both my E92 M3 and Supra
