How's the Fly1 front lip and side skirts holding out for you?
I've been eyeing the full kit, but keep hearing negative things about Fly1 as a company. Maybe their collaboration with Auto Tuned is holding out better than their other products.

I sold the side skirts, as after test fitting they hang super low. Front lip IMO still the best looking lip. I donā€™t like how it installs essentially it clips on to the oem lip and you need to either use double side tape or poly. the middle center they could have extended it a bit so you can bolt it down. other than that they look great.

Build Update! Probably one of the last updates for a bit, as the car will be put in winter storage soon. Most likely one more update in the next week or so after the replacement lip & side skirts go on!

September 3 2021:
Finally received the NVSpecialities Left & Right Carbon Fiber dash panels! This will conclude the phase 1 of the interior mods! I am very excited for the interior mods I'll be doing next season!

October 21 2021:
Finally got the car back from the body shop... I am absolutely in love with the Sayber Design Fenders! Fitment is decent, considering aftermarket. The paint work by the local shop is is top notch. Excuse the gap on the front lip and bumper as the lip was uninstalled and getting replaced with a brand new Fly1 lip. In the picture it was just propped up.

The AIMGAIN style side skirts will be installed on the first week of November. As after paint, the entire front end will require PPF application before install.

Decided to cut the wheel liners to make the vents functional! However using a dremel and trying to slits that are all equal and look oem is quite hard haha... Now debating whether I should just cut rectangular hole instead.. but don't want rocks flying through.. and mesh uhm just not my thing. Also you can see inside the vent and everything is white... which bugs me, but also dont want to spray bomb the inside black. Maybe plastidip? but even then I'm effy on it.

The fenders look great! Iā€™m not into that old school metal mesh either, but there are some options out there now that look more OEM. If you search ā€œhoneycomb ABS plasticā€ on Amazon youā€™ll find a few options. Maybe hit the inside of the vent with plastidip (any overspray is easy to wipe off) then trim some of this stuff to fit the opening?

Im gonna debate the plastidip bomb over the winter storage haha. As for the mesh, the problem is thereā€™s no mounting points. Iā€™ll either have to panel bond some mounting points or panel bound the mesh on. Which is why I decided to cut vent slits inside of a hole.

Build Update!

November 13 2021. The car will stored in the coming days/maybe a week if I can stretch it!

Finally got the car back from the shop on Monday November 8th. Sayber design Fenders with Aim-Gain style side skirts (these are reps, Iā€™m not a poser. I got them cause theyā€™re readily available and at the time of purchase Authentic AimGain did not come in Carbon)

How were the fenders pros and cons? Someone had mentioned they flex quite a bite. Is it true even after install?

Sorry forgot to respond back! They donā€™t really flex, I went to a high end body shop locally here, they always have the coolest cars (run of the mill BMW, Mercedes, and then your Ferrariā€™s, Lamborghin, Porsches) the owner mentioned they use a special primer that hardens the fiberglass as with temperature changes and fiberglass it can cause the paint to crack. The only flex is dead center of the vent opening and if you push in but even then itā€™s not bad. If I had extra funds I might find a local shop to 3D scan the opening and 3D print a vent trim piece, similar to like a GT350 or the new GR86. But not worth the extra dough at this point.

Build Update

Its been awhile folks.

Received the two OEM red leather interior trim pieces. I may plan to eventually do the door card/panel as well, but they are just so so expensive even with my parts hook up.

My Recaro Sportster CS from AMX Performance was finally ordered (Waitlist), sent him a Red Leather sample and stitching color from the OEM trim pieces and safe to say he was able to color match perfect for the custom upholstery

Red Seat belts. Do I need to say more?

Rear AWE exhaust was cracked, but I was able to get it warrantied. So what a better way to spend a Saturday than to replaced the cracked muffler section, install both my Mishimoto Chargepipe, and Powerstop Z23 brake pads.

Well I have a few more parts coming, but it might a while before I can get them on the car. As I got surgery on my left hand and will need at least 4-6 weeks before rehabilitation. Main Post updated with upcoming & future mods.

I'd you're getting custom seats why not. Get the door cards reupholstered.

what offset are those TE37? they look great
A90 Spec! If you buy TEs for Supra, theres only the supra spec/offset for front and rear available

I'd you're getting custom seats why not. Get the door cards reupholstered.
the recaro seats guy is in poland, logistically shipping a door card over would be ridiculously expensive.
