My inner tie rod was bent cause I remember hitting a nasty pothole. My alignment guy pointed it out when I upgraded the suspension in the front. Driver side inner tie rod as well.So.... tie rods don't spin with the wheel. And it's bent downwards. Thus, it can't be the anti-roll bar coming up and hitting it? Must be from above.
The arm just above, that's the thrust / caster arm? Isn't it bolted to the hub, and shouldn't really be moving relative to the tie rod?
Just thinking out loud, either or both might be wrong. Asking as questions intentionally.
Gut feel is some combination of a lowered car (coilovers dialed down), steering angle perhaps, and maybe hitting a pothole or speed bump at the same time. But keep talking myself out of that being possible.
If that gives any ideas to consider.
Did you ever figure out what the exact issue was and what you did to fix it?I called eibach they said the orientation of the words on the bar means nothing. The sway bar needs to be positioned how it came stock, which I have mine positioned accordingly. They confirmed it was installed the correct way!
We did a few things to avoid hitting the sway bar. Since the suspension geometry changes from being lowered, alters tie rod angles and reduces clearance. I got adjustable tie rods, 10mm spacers and increased the ride height. All of those helped in my case.Did you ever figure out what the exact issue was and what you did to fix it?

Of Ohlins with Eibach front sway bar. I haven’t bent a tie rod but I notice my sway bar has marks on it from touching the LCA and the oem end links hitting the tie rod boot at full turn. ?
That’s great! I’m looking at verkline tie rod ends to fix the tie rod angle. I also switched to the whiteline 24mm solid front bar to replace my Eibach bar, since the whiteline bar is OEM diameter.
