From all the vids I've seen the Sp-1 r seems to sit too close to the diffuser. In one vid they trimmed the diffuser to get it to sit right.

Love how the sp1 is mounted but not enough to give up my single tomei. Build quality on the Tomei Single and price was great and with my AA dp sounds insane.

As I started really getting into the supra trend I seen Tomei and awe alot of owners run, I try not to follow the status quo and do things different. You should see my 2016zx10r I built..mmmmmm mmmm lol

I'm jealous of you guys going single exit. They look proper and sound amazing. Sadly, I live in CA so I need a way to be quiet, when necessary.
I really wanted an RK, but the wait time is out of control.
I was going to try a Tomei, but I keep reading about how they like to crack at the welds. That's a lot of money to pay for a 50/50 shot at having it break LOL.
So.. I guess I gotta stick with a dual exhaust. Lame.
Unless I do like that other guy and buy a MKIV HKS axle back and fab it to my own exhaust system.

Also, does ANYONE make a dual-exit exhaust with a tip less than 4"?? I see all these ricer cannons sticking out the back. I see no reason to have the exit any larger than the inlet, ESPECIALLY when you can look into the top and see the smaller exhaust outlet ?
My neighbors are gonna hate me soon, but they dnt complain when I start my bike so idk yet lol,

Cold start on the Tomei and catted dp is brutal. But once warmed up if you drive in non sport mode the exhaust is pretty quiet and manageable.

Engine output and gear selection keeps the car in lower rpms, thus the exhaust is much quieter.

This exactly ?, same for me. And obviously get on the gas or downshift - the AWE track with catless dp is not quiet. But definitely manageable. I feel like I've got this massive bucking bronco that I'm forced to respect or challenge ;). I really didn't expect a friggin exhaust to add this much fun to my ride :p

I would want to go with the track edition too if I was choosing AWE. But feel like my neighbors would kill me during cold starts when I leave for work at 6am lol

I have a untuned 2021 and went with Akrapovic exhaust/midpipe. Plan to eventually complete the system with the catted downpipe.

The price is quite high. Is anyone running the Akrapovic Downpipe. Is it worth the additional $1k versus other brands?

Also, I know the majority consensus is to go catless. I want to go catted.

Akrapovic is absolutely not worth it. They use the same materials as everyone else and throw an absurd markup on top for the name. They do not do anything special, differently, or better than any other option. If you want a great catless downpipe with grt build quality and perfect fitment: Mastery of Art and Design (MAD).

That makes me feel better. Exactly what I got and recommended by @NitroYellowMKV. Hopefully I can try it out again sometime soon, post hurricane down here... Got to wait to get traffic lights again lol.

Thanks for the suggestion. Considering not even tuning my 2021 and getting a downpipe that gives no CEL. Is active autowerke the only company that makes one?

Edit: I’m seeing AMS doesn’t give one as well.

AA is the most popular no CEL downpipe, we sell those by far the most compared to any other.

If you want no CEL, you need a catted downpipe with a 300+ cell GESI cat.
