Best exhaust systems in the market??

Any options for a not-so-expensive, valved exhaust or maybe a not-so-loud-but-louder-than-stock exhaust? Trying to get a decent exhaust that doesn't blow out any eardrums but is at least a little louder than stock.

Cops here in Fresno are always eager to write tickets... at least my 5.0 never got ticketed for one lol.

The Magnaflow xMod comes with optional mufflers which quiet things down considerably. However, the aFe Takeda catback is the quietest option I've heard but still louder than OEM.

AWE makes a touring that people like a lot. Very reasonably priced.

I would think single exit exhausts wouldn't have them because when the valve was closed you would have an engine brake. That would be unless it had some crazy pipe design to just change the tone.

i ordered the sp1r back in august, should have it soon. Only difference with be the burble sounds between the 2 modes

It's a single so can't have a valve

It does not; you'll still retain the throttle mapping changes and burble vs burblier tune though regardless of the presence of valving.

SP is coming out with a dual exit sometime this winter; they have yet to decide on if that will be valved.

Something I haven't seen discussed as much regarding the sp1r is how much trimming is needed to fit the verus rear diffuser. I understand the rk titanium signature exhaust fits though.

I can attest to the sound of the MBRP. When I first settled for it over the Borla ATAK, I was worried about the outcome (SpeedIndustry had stock issues with the Borla). However, I have gotten so many compliments on the sound of my car--even compared to other MKVs in my area. Granted, most of the other MKVs are stock exhaust with aftermarket DP.

With that being said, I am strongly considering going for the BoostLogic Ti exhaust--along with armaspeed intake.

Is the MBRP comparably loud to other exhausts with the valve open? Like magnaflow for example

Mine shipped yesterday . Arrives Monday, went w no burn on piping, only tip/muffler.
