For stock downpipe, our best sellers are AWE touring non resonated. & Valvetronic.

We have both in stock, can work you a deal on both.

Josh is your man! Grab an AWE non res. Perfect for stock or catted DP!

I appreciate the responses and im just curious if anyone has any audio clips or if anyone is running a stock exhaust system w just a catted dp and what they think of it. Otherwise im looking at AWE touring res, Valvetronic, and I saw FI released an Ultimate power version but seems not to many people have it yet.
I’m going to be in the minority and say Dinan.

In sport mode it’s a straight pipe with no resonators, and 3.25” piping.

In normal mode no drone.

Video is stock dp, first 2 revs normal, last 2 revs sport

Yeah i think if anything im going to just get an exhaust first and change out the dp later bc once I get a dp I know im gonna want to tune it and also get an exhaust so hopefully this will prevent that for just a little longer.

I really want to hear what the FI ultimate power sounds like that isnt from the dealers page.

Has anyone by chance tried or rode in AWE non-resonated touring with stock DP, and also FI with catted dp? I had an FI exhaust with stock dp, wanted a volume bump of maybe 10-15%, so had an AWE non res installed. For my personal preference (which might be on the quieter side), it was too loud for me, def a lot more vibrations throughout the car, probably due to AWE’s signature large pipe connecting to the dp that gives the deep tone. I like to drive in sport mode, and with the AWE, I almost feel like the resonance frequency of the exhaust was moved or canceled with the 180 resonator from 2k rpm range, and moved up to 3k. Would explain the strong mid-range tone of it, but under moderate acceleration in sport mode the wail of exhaust is a bit too much for me. I’m probs going to swap back to the FI, but am now contemplating adding AA dp if I want the 10-15% increase. Would that combo of FI and AA dp sit in between FI and AWE non res with stock dp you’d think?

? haha indeed. Could also just be that I need to adjust aurally to it, it was only installed yesterday from my FI exhaust. It's my daily driver so could be why I'm leaning quieter, but if it was my weekend car, sending it for sure lol

How much louder is the FI exhaust with the stock dp compared to the stock exhaust in sport mode? Also, did you notice any increase in drone specifically in the 2k to 3k rpm range? I'm looking for an exhaust that has the stock exhaust tone but a little bit louder as this is also my daily driver.

I’d say in sport mode, maybe like 15ish%? It mainly adds lower frequencies to the exhaust note and fills out the tone which is nice. But peak volume wise it’s only a bit louder, and a lot quieter than the AWE Touring Non res as I have come to find out yesterday lol. In normal mode, I’d even say it is quieter than stock in normal mode, there are two valves so both sides are closed off and routed through the big muffler in the back.
No drone on FI with valves open in sport mode, you can hear the exhaust slightly humming in the background between 2.2k-3k when cruising in sport on the highway. In normal mode on the highway with valves open, I’d say same amount of bassy hum as stock with valves open, and increases a little bit if putting load in lower rpm

I think FI is louder, not by that much but still louder. Let us know if we can help.

Ah gotcha, so FI with AA dp in sport you’d estimate as louder than AWE touring non-res with stock dp? I’m thinking it could be the low bassy note of the awe that is bothering me, I’ll give the AA downpipe a try. Will dm you!

FI with downpipe compared to AWE with stock downpipe? Oh for sure louder, I thought both with downpipes.
