Black Friday Sale Pure 800 Still Delayed

I know there is all kinds of craziness going on with the pandemic but I'm curious if anyone has received a pure turbo that ordered around black Friday. I ordered on black Friday(with core deposit so no waiting on my end) and was told there was a 3-4 week turn around time but since that would be right around Christmas I didn't really expect it to arrive. I asked in the first week of Jan and was told Jan 24 but that didn't happen either. Thoughts?

Not sure who OP got it from but does won't matter, to be honest. All orders go through Pure and they have to be built.

Pure is a pretty small shop, maybe the sale + unlock-hopes got them a ton more orders than they were expecting. It doesn't forgive the issues with communication, but I'd guess these homies are overwhelmed.

Considering how popular they are with Supras and BMWs, they are certainly overwhelmed.
That's why we are hoping to help them and the customers by having these kits in stock ready to ship

Update from pure is 2-3 weeks out because they are waiting on cores. Supposedly 3-4 week turn around time and you wait 9 weeks to say you haven't started because you don't have cores is beyond poor communication. I could have sent my core in weeks ago when the transmission and ecu were getting done... going to talk to tuner today about waiting for the remnant kit at this point. So disappointing

Sorry to hear, the delays have been very frustrating, I completely agree with you.

Please note, you were not told from the beginning because no one was expecting these delays, it was supposed to be 3-4 weeks, but then it changed.

Going forward, we are stocking Pure turbos to avoid waiting for them to be built.

EDIT: I just noticed my response makes it sound as if im the vendor, I do not know if I am. Im just saying that PUre did not know it was going to take that long in November

So I was mistaken, 4 weeks instead of 3-4 weeks. It still stands that we are twice that length at this time and work hasn't even started.

Yes, sir but sometimes in life, things don't go the way we wanted to and unexpected delays happen. At the time of the post, these were the expectations, but then Pure had delays and it got pushed back.

Again, im sorry for the delays, it was not intentional just unexpected changes that are happening with a number of brands.

Completely understandable given the current state of things with shortages. I'm not expecting things to materialize because of my frustration. I'm pointing out that communication about issues can be greatly improved. I was patient the first 9 weeks but that didn't get the communication that was needed so now I have to be that annoying guy that has to ask because this issue could have been resolved weeks ago if cores were the problem.

I think I waited almost three months for an 850, just for it to take a shit and ended up having to swap for an 800, which took another month. The wait sucks but it’s worth it in the end.

Ignoring the communication fumbles by everyone, I can't imagine the headaches running a business where you have to get a core first, modify it and send it back, but also not requiring that core (accepting a deposit instead). If 10% of people just never bother sending in the core, you're in a really frustrating place.
