Bummer. 27psi on a fuel system reported to be maxxed at 24psi might have something to do with it. Seems it could have been a tuning mistake vs. failure from being over-powered. An 8474 EFR should be some where in the 700WHP range at those levels.

Who is saying the fuel system is maxed at 24psi? Lol

I wonder why they don’t warranty these kinds of things

So, what exactly was the manufacturing issue?

Poor tuning...

This was inevitable...but certainly not the norm. These cars need fine tuning hands, just like Subbies.

let’s not forget the “several” MKIV’s that got their motors blown at around 450whp when people started messing with them back in the day.

Eh, I don't know about that. These guys were pushing the limits pretty hard, so I'm not surprised that they blew the motor. I'm certain they knew that going into this.

Well I will help find out those limits towards the end of this week and be able to report back. My turbo will be a bit bigger than that and if it gets done by Friday I will go to FL2K and try and put it to the pavement.

I hope no one "dropped my piston and rod" in the factory because I'm about to find out if they did.

Ha. Let’s hope not...

Any info on the DI limits? Fuel pump capacity before flat-lining?
