BMS Cold Air Intake vs. Stock airbox? Hurting performance or even the engine ?

Agree. I tried it because the BMS website for the product claims "dramatic sound improvement". Increase in sound over stock is minimal at best.
The pipe work leading to the turbo is baffled too (the picture of the intake on the BMS website still seems to have the stock piping). I replaced the intake (CTS) and turbo inlet pipe (also CTS) at the same time though, so I can't really say how much of a difference it will make. I get loud turbo spool, loud induction sounds, and probably higher intake air temps :)

I know. I did their silicone inlet too. Still too quiet.

I know. I did their silicone inlet too. Still too quiet.
I have a MST and it was incredibly loud (whooshing wise). And probably still is. I just wouldn’t know it. I got an AWE track exhaust shortly thereafter.
