Im starting to think this is probably the wrong place to ask these type questions.
In a nutshell, factory components like the factory steering, factory abs, etc. Still utilize the same can bus addresses but without all the other components in the car it makes it difficult to make them work properly. So say if some were to swap a totally different engine and ditch the b58 altogether but still want things like the electric steering to work correctly and abs unit with wheel speed etc. So say in a system like this using a motec, a pdm, a ccu, etc. You are creating a new can bus but still need those communication protocols off the factory components to insert them properly into the new bus. It would appear that not many people have those that are making it public at least so yeah...wrong place to ask and we'll just do it the old fashioned way.
Not a simple read only datalog situation.

Damos/A2L might help but yes, you are correct. Probably not going to have anyone be able to help here. Glad we finally get to the actual need. Seven posts later.
