Car(s)
2025 Supra MT (on order), 2017 Lexus IS 200T, 2022 RAM 1500 Warlock, 2016 FZ-09
The title says it all.
I started shopping this week for a 3.0 Base MT in Renaissance Red 2.0.
MSRP: $65,616.50
With taxes: $75,442.57

Curious if anyone has gotten it for below MSRP?

Edit:
Ordered it today, got a $1,500 rebate.

In Canada, we don't have that, it is MSRP max (and basic stuff like Delivery and Destination Charge but standard by Province) and you may add extra warranty if you want.
But wonder if OP will have his car, seems that 2025 allocation for Canada are done, my dealer is not expecting extra Supra for 2025.
Also myself I am glad to have the Front & Rear Clearance Sonar, it helps a bit

Ok, then you dont know what youre talking about. A Dealer can charge whatever they want above msrp. Thankfully, many do not. They all usually add up to a $999 admin fee, they usually add floor mats, wheel locks, glass etching and other 3rd party security features, nitrogen, etc etc etc. So what appears as a discount actually isnt unless we're talking out-the-door pricing.

So, all Im saying is tell me your total selling price rather than what discount you negotiated.
Sorry but you are the one not knowing what you're talking about
In Canada it is illegal to charge above msrp.

There's merit to both arguments. Yes, dealers in Canada don't charge above MSRP for vehicle price (that includes all options and whatever dealer bullshit they add).

However, to get around the MSRP restriction, they add random BS dealer options such as "electronic rust-proofing modules" that can cost as much as a few grand. If you don't buy into it, they will just tell you they can't strike a deal with you or sometimes just tell you "there's no allocation, leave a deposit to get in line and wait".

There's a term for this within the Cantonese community in the Greater Toronto Area called "eating bones", which means you gotta eat the bone with the meat to get a deal done, even undesirable.

Did not have any of those issues, just had to put a deposit that ended paying for the registration fees when I received mine. I am the one who asked for carbon mirror caps
So far in QC never had those requests for extra, is that current in ON?

It's a hit or miss. Not every dealership does this but it's a common trick. You know there are still people who only buy cars from the dealer closest to them so they will eat it right up.

Appreciate the exchange but Im sure a few of us are still waiting to be shown the law that states a private business cannot charge whatever they want for the product they sell.
you are the only one waiting for that and you are not Canadian, so this regulation doesn't concern you.

Damn my Cantonese must suck because i never heard of that phrase. I actually had this debate with a friend recently and I was trying to find the law or regulation for this. couldn't find it.

I agree with the dealerships cant sell above MRSP here because we dont have the "market adjustment" addon, if the car is sold new, they'll tack on every accessory possible but from what I've seen a lot of dealerships "drive" the car a couple hundred KM then sell the car for 10-20k higher than MRSP, a good example of this is the FL5.
