They gave it to you with a 1/4 tank of gas? What a bunch of crooks. ?Got it today... and went straight to the PPF/Tint shop so I don't get to really get it until Wednesday.

Would get that checked out before you pay for ppf incase they need to buy it back or something else is wrong. They wanted to fill it with some subpar swill *cough*petrocanada*cough* and I told them not to bother. ?
I did, however, get a check engine light about 3 minutes down the road.
I sure hope they don't make me wait for another one! I'm hoping it's something simple like they forgot to do something on the pdi.Would get that checked out before you pay for ppf incase they need to buy it back or something else is wrong.
Fingers crossed. This car takes way to long to get for what it is.I sure hope they don't make me wait for another one! I'm hoping it's something simple like they forgot to do something on the pdi.
Mine had a little. Maybe yours was on lower level of the transport trailer?Did anybody else's car arrive just absolutely covered in fallout? I'd assume it was from sitting in Port either here, or in Europe but my car was covered top to bottom (tiny little orange dots on the paint, rough to the touch)
I noticed it after my first home wash prior to taking it in for PPF/Ceramic. My detailer said it took them about 6 hours just to get all of the fallout off before they could do anything else.
I used to work at a dealership and it wasn't uncommon for cars to come off the truck and have a little bit of fallout on them, but the Supra was legitimately the worst I've seen, every panel was coated.
Ultimately nothing that can't be fixed at the end of the day, but was just curious if anyone else had the same thing on their cars at delivery?
Could've been that too. It's a non-issue now thankfully. I was just amazed by the amount that was on it and was curious if it was maybe a common thing or had happened to anyone else on the East CoastMine had a little. Maybe yours was on lower level of the transport trailer?
I am eagerly awaiting the update on this! Three minutes has to be some kind of record for a CEL.They wanted to fill it with some subpar swill *cough*petrocanada*cough* and I told them not to bother. ?

When i get it back from ppf/Tint tomorrow I'm going to pull the code and see what it is before calling the dealership. They already know it happened and told me they'd get it sorted out once I have the car back.I am eagerly awaiting the update on this! Three minutes has to be some kind of record for a CEL.
I assume you didn’t rip on it immediately after getting the car…When i get it back from ppf/Tint tomorrow I'm going to pull the code and see what it is before calling the dealership. They already know it happened and told me they'd get it sorted out once I have the car back.
I didn't "rip" it, but I probably pressed the gas harder than anyone had prior.I assume you didn’t rip on it immediately after getting the car…
Could it be something with the gas that’s in there? If it’s old fuel, maybe the car isn’t happy with it?
Not the exact same scenario, but I got a CEL for the fuel system in my old '20, filled it, reseated the gas cap, had the dealer look at it, etc, nothin. Then it rando cleared itself the week after and never came back *shrug*I didn't "rip" it, but I probably pressed the gas harder than anyone had prior.
After a refuel with good 93 and a day and a couple drives the CEL cleared itself so far ?
There were 6 Knock sensor fault related codes so I'm pretty sure it was just shitty fuel that they didn't expect to be in there undiluted for long.
LOL I work in the petroleum industry in Canada as a fuel supplier. All premium comes from the same placeThey wanted to fill it with some subpar swill *cough*petrocanada*cough* and I told them not to bother. ?
