I'd bet the Cranbrook one has a few tacked on fees and packages afterwards. They were not super helpful a few years back when I tried buying a rav4 there, and it's the same salesman posting the cranny supra this time. Tried to get it at MSRP and he said that's a no-go, which is odd since there's another MT in Canada selling for under MSRP. Cranbrook isn't exactly a high income area either.
Sent them MSRP plus tax offer. - Hoping they just say yes come get it instead of the back and forth.

Under MSRP? Do you have a link?

Let us know! That dealership has sold three or four over the last couple years, and they just had an AT on the lot as well; I can't imagine that many people in the area looking for such a specific car. Once these start going for MSRP it will be a good market indicator that at least some dealers know the boom times are over. Five MT for sale in BC right now?

Fort McMurray Noral Toyota has a white one available too.
will Look into this one too - I’m in Edmonton so better shot at being in the “region” when they’re selling.

I was told by them that the car has sold but they have another one with 8000km on it for 85K…… I think I’m just going to leave the supras alone for now haha

I love the cars, but the dealership experience over the last two years is enough to make me wish to see them sitting on lots collecting dust. I wish everyone would sit tight until we were back to making fair deals at or around MSRP, but never over, that's a joke. People just can't wait though, instant gratification for payments at 9%... sad.

Now that I see all premium has ethanol, does that mean the recommendation for premium in things like snowblowers, lawnmowers, off road vehicles, etc can go back to regular? I thought the whole requirement for 91 premium in those was to avoid ethanol?

Here in NB there was a bit of a issue a few years ago with Irving Oil being caught selling 87 regular as 91 premium.
Octane recommendation is not ethanol-based, it has to do with chance pre-ignition under certain conditions.

For instance, my N54 e92 takes only 91 octane “in theory,” but in reality it will run on 87 but with a higher chance of pre-ignition and knock. 91 or higher will almost eliminate chance of pre-ignition unless you start messing with the tune.

So, no, just because there is some ethanol even in 91 or 93 doesn’t mean it’s garbage or the same as 87.

Ahh the old bait and switch ? if it’s still listed I’d leave them a negative Google review, it’s about all you can do. Greasy dealers.

But it's hard to wait when it already takes so long to get and model rumored to end in the next couple years.

It's true, and with only 400+- cars in Canada a year I can't blame anyone for jumping on the car they've been waiting for. I had to wait ten months from the time I decided on colour until I found one used with under 10k kms so I could at least avoid the drive off the lot depreciation. Some people have been waiting MUCH longer than that, so I do feel for them. I just hate seeing good enthusiasts get squeezed by greedy dealers.

We honestly have it so much better than the states though, upcharge wise.

I will say, for as good a car as this is, Toyota has really dropped the ball on the experience of buying one. I don't even really mind the current wait times, but if I'm gonna wait that long, it should be for the exact spec that I ordered, not what Toyota feels like allocating.

A car like this just doesn't really fit Toyota's production model, there's no reason why at this price point, especially with how few of these cars are sold, even relative to something like the GR86, that we shouldn't have been able to spec it exactly how we want, and have an order put in to the factory for it.

Especially since iirc this car is built on the same line as the Z4 at Magna, which BMW will let you make a factory order for, so it's not like the tooling or production capacity isn't there to accommodate it.

Agreed, the process of getting the car was a nearly 12-month long journey that was extremely unpleasant. Some more crappy dealer experiences (mine included) are detailed here: Dealership Experiences | SupraMKV - 2020+ Toyota Supra Forum (A90 MKV Generation)
