I've recently had one of these installed:

https://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/canchecked-mfd32-gen-2-display-toyota-supra-a90-a91-2020/

At the moment I'm just using the defaults and haven't configured anything.

Is anyone else on here using one? (..a.nd are you willing to share information on what you have done/customisations?)

As and when I get the opportunity to play around with it I'll add more details etc.

Initial impressions are that it's doing exactly what I wanted - letting me see oil/water/gear box/AIT etc, allowing me to understand what the baselines are for normal road use etc. The way it sits neatly next to the central display is really good too.

It has a ton of options I haven't even begun to explore yet!

I have made 4 custom screens.
1 as start or default with boost, oil temp, iat and gearbox temp
2 for the GeForce sensors and pedal position
3 for diagnostics with Lambda, Ignition and exhaust temps
4 a shift light (just a plain green bar which is connected to the rpm and gets bigger and the whole screen flashes red when a specific rpm is reached (I’m a bit proud of that)

Can add pictures later after worx

I don’t know why but I got annoyed from the water temp I removed it from everywhere.
I mean you can literally see it on the dashboard so why have this information 2 times I don’t get it

That sounds brilliant, was it a huge faff to get right?

Probably because the coolant can increase 50F via the CAN logged item and the dashboard bars don't even change. It's for a more granular view.

Do you guys know how to de-pin the two pins in connector 8? I see the Yellow/White and Yellow/Black wires but don't want to booger it up.

Installed mine today. Haven’t even gone for a drive yet, but verified it functions in the driveway.

I haven’t done any custom screens for it yet, but @BigRon I’m interested in your shift light if you don’t mind sharing. It looks similar to how I wanted to do mine.

I’m mostly interested in logging, and just visually seeing what’s going on with the engine. No other mods yet, although I have Dinan intake and exhaust in the garage. Want to log baselines first and see how IAT and EGT do or don’t change with the new parts.

Video of the first few page flips to verify functionality before I closed everything up, in case people are curious how it functions. I didn’t find many videos when I searched.

Interested in this myself.... are IATs read from the sensor closest to the airbox? Or is it post intercooler?

Was reading into this unit because I was interested in a CAN based reader that doesn't require hogging the OBD port. Unfortunately it looks like the presence of anything on the OBD port, such as a jb4, causes the unit to read certain things like boost incorrectly. My plan was to just use it for temperature monitoring , which this user claims still works okay, but the whole situation kind of sketches me out.

Does anyone know if this is still the case with latest firmware?

I've only ever used it with BM3, so nothing else on the interface... I suspect with some clever coding you could work around the issues by creating some offsets in the guages/UI as it's all configurable. (Well... someone cleverer than me probably could!)

yea I saw this too. It's perplexing because CANchecked is on the CAN network, not OBD2, so it shouldn't interfere at all. However, JB4 does spoof boost to the DME so maybe that is what was happening in this instance. The CAN boost ID would be showing what the DME thinks it's seeing, which would not be the actual boost level. JB4 spoof life.

I actually ended up buying a CANchecked unit and will be testing it out soon. Happy to give feedback.
