Do you have the sway bars? What’s your current setup? I’m thinking about get sway bars to see how much more reduction in swaying.

I’m on KW V3 with 275/305 tires they’re mismatched right now cause P4S are still hard to get (back ordered) but will be switching to 265/305. I’m about a one finger drop front and rear, and just added the blitz strut brace.

alignment is set to:
front: -2 camber, 0.11 toe in.
rear: -2.5 camber, 0.17 toe in.

as of currently the swaying to left or right under acceleration is reduced by at least 75% or so with the strut brace and I’m quite happy with it. Just a little more would bring it to where I want...
No aftermarket sway bars yet - they're on order and expected to ship later this month. Suspension, tires, etc. are all stock. Hrm... you're lowered, right? I suppose something to check for those in this thread who are having this issue is if the front suspension spacers were removed during the PDI. There's a thread on here where a bunch of folks still have the white, plastic spacers/risers under the boot on their front struts. That means you're basically using the bump stop as suspension. I did some searching and can't find it right away - will try again after a work thing if someone doesn't post it first.

Interesting thread. I have a ‘21 that used to lurch hard to the left under full throttle plus it seemed super twitchy at toll road speeds++ (75 to 85 mph speed limits). I could make it do it at will with the throttle and thought it was just how they designed it. Note: The rear tires also step out when they lose grip but that’s normal and has happened with every high performance RWD car I’ve owned.

I had an issue with the safety systems and electric power steering that required some kind of reboot/reflash of the computer as well as a replacement for the power steering rack + alignment. Since then my car never lurches left and feels solidly planted when cruising at higher than toll road speeds. I assumed it had more to do with the alignment than anything else but now I’m curious.

My dealer lets Supra owners speak with their Supra tech and we discussed the repair. He said he had to correct the alignment but I never got the before/after specs. I’ll call the service writer later today and ask him to email the specs (the service writer is a “car guy” and said he has worked with 10 Supra owners.)

Hate to bump an old thread but I am experiencing something similar ever since I lowered the car on HKS springs and added 275 tires front and 305 rear. Very unnerving having the car shift to the other lane under hard acceleration. Even after the alignment it still feels unstable.

This is what happens when you lower a car without adding adjustable control arms to cancel out the undesirable geometric effects of lowering the ride height. Camber goes negative, toe goes in (positive), caster can also be compromised.

Sometimes you can get lucky and the (extremely limited) factory alignment options are sufficient to bring the car back into spec, or some semblance of predictability. But more often than not, the only fix is front/rear camber and toe arms.
