I know there’s two places to connect
Charger, on the actual battery in trunk
Or the two terminals under hood
Which one is recommended??

Under the hood is recommended. Battery is possible but I would think only if you have the ability to chose a setting on your charger specifically for an AGM battery. Don’t quote me on that though.

I tried the trunk and hood. Both worked, but BMW.. I mean Toyota.. recommends charging from the hood so I hardwired an umbilical adapter for my Battery Tender JR on the hood side.

Absolutely no issue..and I wire it under the car so it looks clean.

Thanks, under the hood is alot easier
Can’t believe how big that battery is!!
And the price to replace it!, over $400!

Out of curiosity, if we needed to jump start our car due to a dead battery, should we do it from the hood or the trunk?

Hood for that as well. Positive post is by the passenger side strut tower, grounding post is on the passenger fender near the washer fluid cap.
