How is your ECU still locked? It was flashed with MHD right?
It was, then when I took it to the dealership for the service brake recall I had put it to stock and then they locked it when they performed the update ??

Ah that sucks to hear. I mentioned it on another thread, this car was somewhat local to me and it was previously tuned on Ecutek.

Yeah I remember, unfortunately the person they sold that too either kept the ecutek or sold it but it wasnā€™t with the car when I brought it sadly

Hahaha I put a towel across the seat and she just sits, in terms of shedding itā€™s not too bad but I do clean my car weekly on the exterior and biweekly on the interior lol

I donā€™t even bother. Itā€™s like trying to fill a cup with a hole in the bottom?

So Iā€™ve been throwing a ā€œexhaust camshaft clampedā€ code since shortly after I got my mkv and I finally had a chance today too remove all the wiper arms and all the surrounding shrouds and got access to the actuators. Thankfully theyā€™re incredibly easy to get too and I swapped the intake and exhaust sides to see if the code will switch sides in which case Iā€™ll be able to diagnose the faulty actuator.
cleared the codes and started her up and no codes so far so we will see once I get her driving

After speaking to Jeff Payne (he saved my ass haha) he recommended I change my oil since the weight could be off. It had been on my list of stuff to do but never had time. I emptied the oil and whatever was in there was considerably thicker then anything that came from the factory. I used a new filter and went back to 0W20 and the codes have disappeared. My best guess is that the viscosity of the thicker oil was leading to a harder time pushing oil through the VANOS system.

I will release more details on this as I get it more finalized but I am working with a company on an intake for the Supras and finally had enough of a prototype to 3D print the box, inlet elbow and everything. I am making some tweaks so there will be a 2nd printing but then the car will have to go through emissions etc. The box has a full inlet that fits into the factory ā€œram airā€ duct in order to feed fresh air into the intake, larger filter and larger inlet tube. I will be testing for the increased cfm shortly once the designed is fully frozen.
the strut braces are 1 piece milled aluminum pieces but these are also just 3D printed for now.
keep in mind this is all designed by me, drawn up in CAD by me and then printed through work. So when I say working with a company Iā€™m also doing the designing haha.

Typically this wouldā€™ve been something Iā€™d do myself but because of lack of time. Today a mobile detailer came from Nashville to Bowling Green to cut, polish and ceramic coat the Supra. They brought everything with them and while I was clearing trees after the tornado the detailer kicked some serious ass.
this is just one photo and once everything has cured Iā€™ll get some better photos. There is no filter on this photo either.

Pretty awesome to build it from design to final product. Nice!

I am extremely excited! This will be a first intake design for me so getting to do it for my own car as well as this platform is a pretty huge deal for me personally.

Got this puppy in the mail today. He posted here on the forum and since I want to go with the RK titanium single exit exhaust on the passenger side the timing was perfect. Thank you @Juanito08 canā€™t wait to install this once I get the exhaust in eventually.
