Well did you get the car Back yet ??God it’s been a minute since I’ve updated my build thread because LITERALLY NOTHING HAD HAPPENED. my poor car has been sitting at the dealership for a month waiting for the freaking Vanos Central Bolt. The dealer is replacing it under warranty along with the exhaust side cam gear in order to combat the 13070 CEL for clamped exhaust shaft. The bolt was supposed to arrive a week ago, was back ordered until yesterday and now pushed all the way to April. I could seriously scan the bolt and recreate in solidworks and then send it for a one off bolt to be made faster than getting one. On a positive note the dealership service department has been FANTASTIC! I’ve had a loaner Camry this whole time which means I can put the cheapest (loosely used term) gas in it and not premium and I’m keeping mileage of the Supra.
i miss my freaking car though. But my pup loves having a back seat. Also at least my carhas Been indoors the entire time also.
I literally got the car back TODAY finally haha it’s been almost 2.5 months. It just feels so good to have power again and this is bone stock levels also haha.Well did you get the car Back yet ??
looking at this pic of the valve train really makes me hold off on installimg Cams
I love the look of matte carbon... but I had my matte finish scratched one time and decided to switch back to gloss. It's so much easier to fix a gloss finish.Since its been a FAT minute since Ive updated my build thread I figured I would throw this in there. This is a tease of the intake that will be releasing shortly. Should be both a matte Carbon and Gloss carbon option and the induction noises are absolutely lovely. This is my design so its pretty cool to see. I have marked over the branding until it is officially released and we have production.
I still am waiting on my car to come back from R&D but heres a teaser. CFM testing has shown this full intake on the 2.0 is flowing 100 CFM over stock and I am waiting to get flowbench results for the 3.0
I can’t say I’ve ever seen a scratch on matte carbon before but I can definitely see how it would be way more noticeableI love the look of matte carbon... but I had my matte finish scratched one time and decided to switch back to gloss. It's so much easier to fix a gloss finish.
After dealing with that, I couldn't imagine having matte/satin paint on a car. That would be a nightmare.
