2024 3.0 6MT with 6200 miles on the OD. I've been experiencing the smell of coolant from the engine bay after driving the car for more than 30 minutes. I had the coolant system pressure tested and it held at 1.5bar steady. Inspected for leaks in the usual places two separate shops could not find any obvious signs of a leak. So, it makes me wonder if there's a known issue with improperly sealing reservoir caps that could be causing the smell of hot coolant to escape? It's driving me a bit nuts that I can smell the obvious scent of coolant but can't see any leaks...

The caps vent so could just be fumes. If levels are fine don’t worry

Yep. BMWs will tend to vent coolant pressure. If you did a pressure test and not losing coolant you are fine. If you are super worried still, get fluorescent dye and add it. Under a UV or blacklight you can see any leaks.

Not a Corvette.
On my Supra I have never smelled coolant unless right after a turbo swap since it's basically impossible to not spill coolant all over the trans, etc.

Ironically, my B48 330i I smell coolant every time I park it after driving it. No leaks that I can find and no missing coolant.

I guess this must be the source of the smell then. Being an OG supra guy all the way back to the late 80s with the mk3s and the blown head gasket issues scarred me for life. Any whiff of coolant triggers the fear of cooling issues and an inevitable blown head gasket. I know, totally irrational.
