2020 models are not threaded.

That's correct. They're threaded tapped screws on the 2021s. All four of them. Zip 'em out, remove the tent poles and install the new brace with existing hardware... Easy as that.

2020 you have to use a through bolt and go into the wheel well.

so advisable to just tap my 2020 one for the ease of removal of the brace to access the airbox
