As the title says I have a 2021 Supra. Important things to note: pre 6/20 ECU but has been to the dealer for under warranty servicing many times, 25k miles, no mods, now out of warranty. I have no clue if the ECU was locked by the dealer although I know it's a possibility. I did not know the ECU situation and never thought of modding under warranty. Ignorance was in fact not bliss.

I want to increase the power of it for daily driving purposes. It makes about 400 rwhp factory so it's not bad whatsoever. But I want some more torque. What do you guys think my options are. I have to mention Im in la county so I have 91 ACN available. While I have access to E85 it would be a drag to get it. All the stations at least 10 minutes away which I know isn't that bad but the stations are in directions I would never go and it would be a chore. I also don't want to buy it by the barrel and turn my house into a gas station. I would still consider a flex fuel kit but it would be more of a special case rather than a daily situation.

I have seen the mkv routes to big power thread but it's largely a linear path. I'm also not interested in huge power. Just about 500-600 hp whatever is easily done without knocking around town. I have less of an issue with methanol but it's not really a reliable octane booster from what I know. What should I do?

You won't be able to make 500 hp on 91 with stock turbo. You'd be at about 430 (up from factory 380). So basically, your easiest options to make more power than that are either to upgrade the turbo, or to suck it up and go get E85. Plus supporting mods for either route.

Hmmm. Will pure 800 on 91 get me over 500? What's the science behind a bigger turbo? Aren't I still limited to the same amount of boost regardless of turbo size before I knock? Or is it that the big turbo flows more oxygen per psi of boost

Based on the complaints with pure lately I would steer clear, DAW looks to have some good options to get there on pump. Or remanent

It can, yes.

You'd be limited to the same amount of boost if you don't add more fueling. Which is why I said "plus supporting mods". You would have to add port injection to have enough fueling to support higher boost.

I would suggest looking at that "Routes to big power" thread again. There are quite a few sections on making 500-600 hp which is what you said your goal was.

Yes it appears so. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
