When I bought the pieces you could only get the speaker ports in sets of 4 and you only need 2., so i'm happy to send to anyone that was looking to do this mod (and you should as actually its literally the best thing to do to your car :) ) imo....

If you can just pay a few quid for postage they are yours

Link above, Basically it involves removing the sub panel (easy if you have trim tools)
Then cutting some foam and folding it into the hole, and drilling holes into the panel (and fitting the ports i'm talking about to make it look nice)

When you are done it looks oem, and the difference is huge (make sure to make the EQ changes too)

Very easy mod in terms of technicality. The write up is very good. Also gives u an excuse to dynamat a lot of places. If you are picky about your stereo sound this helps. Was the first thing I did.

You have reminded me i havent even done the dynamat part yet, still need to add it, even without that the port holes and foam is night and day for me

I done the mod in my car.

I like the comment "the difference is huge" ... honeslty... I noticed NOTHING :D Feel no difference, but I can say I tuned the car myself šŸ˜‚
In my case, I definitely wouldnā€™t notice the difference as I have terrible hearing!

Maybe this is telling you itā€™s time for a hearing test? :p

Lmao are you guys serious, it is literally the definition of night and day.
You get horrible Bass distortion at really low volumes without it and it sounds like utter ass.
It turns it into actually a good sound system, can crank it to like 70% volume without it distorting now where as before it was noticable at not even close to loud (say 40%)

I have the base model. This only applies to premium sound, right?

It was probably the 2nd mod I did after installing wind deflectors. It definitely made a noticeable/positive difference, especially at higher volumes, and after using the EQ Tuning in that guide. It's not a life changing difference, but it definitely took the sound system from "Meh" to "Not bad for OEM" for me
