Drilled/Slotted rotor direction

So these R1 rotors have the directional veins. I don’t do any road racing or auto cross so heat isn’t really an issue. If installed the proper way due to the direction of the veins, the driver/passenger rotors would look backwards. Just curious, which way everyone would install them for street driving.

First picture would be the proper way for the passenger side. Second pic would be the direction we think is the proper way.

I thought the R1 rotors have an L or R in the part numbers.

Proper way is proper. If you only care about looks, then proper isn’t proper.

No. Unless I’m blind. Anyway. I went with the way the veins were designed to work.

Wow. I'm looking into the same rotors. All the information I've seen on line says there is an L and R.

The direction on the outside tail points to the rear of the car.

I may be in the same boat as you soon too.

Wow. I'm looking into the same rotors. All the information I've seen on line says there is an L and R.

The direction on the outside tail points to the rear of the car.
My wife wanted the same -for looks- on her GTI. It’s for in town, so whatever. There is a right side and left side. That’s the way to go ?
