Using a purse never worked for me when trying to get rotors off.

Use the Brake bracket bolt hole, use a smaller bolt and a nut to create a screw jack. Use a cloth if you don't want to damage.

Do it a little then rotate the brake disk. Should pop off eventually. Be careful not to dig in to much into anything.

Not to mention the fact that common aluminum anti-seize completely liquifies at those temperatures and then gets slung all over the place.

Granted I personally DO apply some on the hub, and the mating surface of the rim, but I use Nickel-based anti-seize, a layer so thin it hardly exists, and ONLY on the known contact spots. I also don't track the car, so there's that.

Great stuff!!!! Been years since I used it. You ever hear of T-9 to prevent rusting on bolts? We used to use that on the jetskis and I swear under the seat cover, that engine looked brand new.

Poor guy still can't get rotor off. Someone go help him!
LOL right!

I’ve only seen this with OEM rotors, when helping friends. You figure those OEM rotors have been on the car quite a while, endured some good saltwater (in the air during transit), maybe salty roads up north or just driving rain. Regardless, as others said, good whack - outside & inside or both sides if needed will do it - easily and quickly.

Fluid Film! I even have the commercial undercoating kit. Never found anything as good, easy to use, and cost effective for amazing (biodegradable) protection that doesn't hamper anything down the road if component servicing is needed.

Lmaoo I was able to get it off after a handful of hits with the purse.
the dead hammer i bought worked wonders after a bunch of solid smacks and a can of brake cleaner I had laying around to spray between the rotor and hub to loosen the rust.

Thanks all for the support
