Just picked up new 2021 3.0 on Saturday. The key hole cover is missing. I can't be sure if this piece was on or not at the time of delivery. There was no chance of potential theft as the car was in a secure location in my garage. Anyone have experience with this piece just falling off the car?

Dealership said they would replace if I bring the car in. Is there a way to just purchase this part already painted? I'd rather just buy it than deal with the hassle of going to the dealership.

Had the same issue, the car from the dealership simply did not have one. Ordered from bmw, got it in a few days, painted in toyota with the colour code

**Attempt** lol
I need to laugh. Can someone explain the joke to me?

Update. The dealership magically found the missing part a week later.

~ Same here… mine was missing at delivery and the dealer purchased another and had it painted.

Meanwhile the original one was located in the cup holder.

So now I gladly have a back up.

the joke was that it's not a piece that anyone would be interested in stealing -- ignoring the fact you'd need to pick that lock to get in to attempt to steal the car. ;) Sorry - it was a little opaque.
