I can make the dark tan happen.

No yellow carbon on this part, only the normal black/gray carbon.

please use the example photo for the titanium examples. Natural titanium is a very nice matte dark silver, toasted will give a range of colors depending on the temperature I take the metal to. Anywhere from a nice gold to a rainbow of blue and purple and green. I won't be offering the black colored titanium because I don't want to juggle anodizing it, which fades the fastest.

Thanks Carl!! My best friend owns a top-notch custom firearms company, so I'm very familiar with Titanium ($22,000 prototype AR anyone?), just never heard the word "toasted" before, as we refer to it as flame bluing. That word made me think it was some kind of grayish-brown or something. How soon does the preorder production begin? Is this going to be a mainstream DL product after this phase?

I'm tradmarking "toasted titanium" because I'm tired of seeing "burnt titanium" across the car industry. 😂

I've aready started accumulating my finalized supplies to put the pre-orders together, so it started today.

after pre-order the price goes up and a small choice of standard colors with upcharge for something custom.

pre-order just gets special treatment because it's manageable for me

that's a 1:1, it's the weird Celsius thing that doesn't make sense

Only two kinds of countries anyways: those who walked on the moon, and those that use the metric system.

I know you're joking around, but it's still worth mentioning that all engineers/scientists use SI units.

I could've converted everything to the issac newton scale for temperature but it would hurt my brain

Nah you're good. I was being sarcastic.
My comment about SI units was more about the engineers actually taking us to the moon.

titanium hardware examples below. ignore the gold and black, those are anodized and I don't intend on housing the chemicals and stuff necessary to make it. I'll be hand toasting the hardware, not buying it.

packaging is on its way to me for the pre-order batch.

Door handle cartridges are on the way for the pre-order batch

Straps for the existing pre-orders are on the way

Revision 2 of the face plate is being cnc cut and will be enroute.

This is an interesting idea. Im concerned the bolted on carbon plate is going to look out of place. I wonder if theres a way you could countersink it (if that makes sense) so it would be the same height as the stock handle housing. Maybe shave the housing down and epoxy? Just throwing thoughts...

countersinking doubled the cost of the material, it was my second choice. 😂😭

Epoxy was my first choice, but the request that it be rebuildable/serviceable was made so that rules out sealing it with epoxy. It also allows you to change out the strap colors later if you decide you want something new, it also allows for me to be able to send upgraded materials if/when I develop something better.

the bolts will be aesthetically ok, about 15 people in the background helped me settle on this design/style. I didn't just pick and say "shut up and take it" 😂

Water freezes at 0 degrees; Water boils at 100 degrees. Degrees Celsius makes no sense to me. 😂
Farenheit:
0 - Quite cold
100 - Quite hot

Celsius:
0 - Mildly cold
100 - Dead
