Anyone here have any experience with this technician?

I’m still pretty new to the whole DME/ECU unlock process. From what I remember, earlier this year the main option was basically sending your ECU to FEMTO, but now it seems like there are quite a few people offering unlocks 😂

Just curious if anyone here has personally had their ECU unlocked through him and how the experience went. I came across his IG and noticed he works on quite a few Supras and BMWs, so I figured I’d ask before going that route.

Not trying to knock the guy at all, just looking for some firsthand feedback from anyone who’s actually used him.

No offense to Speed Logic, but Joe had the better deal, so I figured I’d throw in my 2 cents.

Ended up going to Joevil Motorsports yesterday for my DME unlock and MHD install, and honestly, I’m very satisfied with the whole experience.

The process was stupid quick. I was there for maybe 30 minutes total — about 15 minutes waiting for the engine bay to cool down and another 15 for the DME unlock and MHD installation. No sitting around for 3 hours wondering if my car is being held hostage.

What I really liked was that Joe actually walked me through MHD step-by-step and showed me how to use everything. You can tell pretty quickly that the dude is genuinely passionate about cars. While the license was being loaded onto the car, he gave me some background on himself and went over some of the other services he offers if I decide to go further down the car modification rabbit hole… which, let’s be honest, we all know I probably will.

I also liked that he came across as a car enthusiast first and a business owner/salesman second. He wasn’t just trying to sell me a bunch of shit I didn’t ask for.

Anyway, before this starts sounding like I’m on Joe’s payroll, the process was fast, straightforward, and smooth. Definitely happy with the experience.

So for anyone still sitting on the fence about getting their DME unlocked… at this point, I really don’t see an excuse. Get that shit unlocked and start the rabbit hole.
