I checked the EPA fuel economy website (EPA.gov) to see if they had the fuel economy posted for the 2023 manual transmission Supra. It's not yet listed, but they do have the 2023 automatic transmission car and the fuel economy ratings has increased slightly over the 2022 models.

So what changed? To see a change in the same car from year to year, typically something like gearing was altered or something else that can affect fuel economy.
