I didn't have issues except for the EVAP CEL that I had removed. No issues with fuel starvation. I've done two track events since doing the delete.
Thanks the helpful. How did you deal with the tank ventilating?

Yeah, I was just thinking that once those were disconnected and set up properly (and probably with CEL's coded out), that removing the cannister itself would be trivial. But perhaps not, and if not then my apologies.

Was trying to think how the 2 things (this and fuel cuts) were related but it doesn't seem likely. CEL's would usually just be an annoyance but not lead to that. Could be a coincidence. But on that note, check for codes? Kind of always step 1 for any issue.
Yep I got a few evap leak codes that were easily cleared/ignored. I don't know if or why removing the canister is related to the fuel starve but I just got this problem right after removing the canister, and the canister vents the tank, which has a pressure sensor built in, and a jet transfer pump etc and it seems like everything is connected somehow on modern cars 😭

What do you achieve by doing this?
For me its mainly to drop a few pounds. I want to get the car to sub 3000 lbs.

You might consider putting things back to how they were as a troubleshooting step. not long term necessarily but just to be 100% sure it's related to this. I mean - it's kind of 95% sure but there's a chance something else is going on - maybe a sensor got wires pulled too hard or not reconnected as an example. Something plugged has disconnected. etc.

Just an update on this in case anyone else wants to do the same canister delete. I drained the tank and pulled the lpfp inspected everything and it looked okay.

Kept the canister delete by putting a filter on the tank vent line and capping the first purge solenoid in the engine bay with a vacuum cap.

Fuel starve issue seems to be gone after draining the tank removing the lpfp and putting it all back together. No idea what caused the original fuel starve 🫠 but draining the tank seem to fix it

Possible debris on the logo causing weak flow?
