You don’t have to buy a extended warranty at purchase do you?

Typically it's available to you anytime before your factory warranty expires. In some cases, If you purchase within the first year it may be offered for less than the end of your warranty period.

You can negotiate the prices and you don't have to buy it until just before the factory warranty expires. So do the math. You can also buy warranties from other dealers. Some sell them online for considerably less.

Did anyone get the Platinum Tire and Wheel coverage? If so, is everyone getting the same quoted price for $899?

No plug/patch, always a new tire + replacement wheels for bent for 7 years.

Only 5 and 6 year quote from my dealer. I’m not getting the wheel/tire plan just an extended warranty from another dealer that was linked
    here on the forum

Pricing is consistent. They only offered me the 7 year at $899. The no plug/patch, always a new tire part is what seems like a no brainier to me. They said you don't even have to OEM tires, as long as you keep the same size, they will always put on a new tire. I am also going to get the extended through the posted location.

I pick mine up this week, but don’t intend to extent the warranty, my reasoning is this will be a low mileage vehicle for me, also I’ll probably end up doing things that would void it anyway.

I bought the 7 year but I paid 2400 Toyota platinum ( did I over pay?) and 969 for the 6 year tire/wheel.key/glass/dent coverage.

At this point I no longer care, dealing with transport companies now and THAT is a nightmare.

You "might" want to look on page one of this thread and hit that contact up. I would most certainly do that (for the 7yr Plat).

Just to confirm, this $760 includes wheel/tire/key/windshield/dent?

The dealer quoted me two different products, $899 for tire (*6 year) and $599 for key (3rd party).

    Just want to make sure!
