and the wreck is on Perez alone.
I don’t think it’s 100% on Perez. Easily avoidable by both, and I would probably call it a 60% Carlos and 40% Checo fault. Carlos drifted across the track while Checo stayed mostly straight. So while Checo could have easily avoided it, Carlos was the one who drifted over.

The constructors championship was always going to be tough for Red Bull to keep to finish the season. Heck if they continue on like this they could end up in 3rd behind both McLaren and Ferrari.

In car angles showed Sainz wheel was straight supposedly

Sainz, Perez cleared by stewards over race-ending Azerbaijan GP crash

After talking to both drivers and studying data from the incident as well as the respective driving lines from previous laps, the stewards came back with a decision that no further action was necessary labelling the crash a "racing incident" in which "neither driver was predominantly at fault."

In response to Christian Horner's call for the stewards to take action, Ferrari counterpart Fred Vasseur told Motorsport.com: "If Horner is expecting for Carlos then I am expecting a grid penalty for Checo, he had plenty of room on the left-hand side."

I put most the blame on Carlos, both cars were drfits over to the left based on the white lines on the surface, Carlos just drifted a little move over. Perez just wanted to hold that line behind Charles and it bit him. I’m glad no penalty though…

I do love watching DTS fans and RB crying over Lando holding up Checo.

I don’t know dude, but Carlos had track position on Perez and was following the racing line. Perez didn’t yield but had lost position to Carlos. Probably no penalty is the best call, but I think Perez is in the wrong here.

I'd put it a bit more on Checo since he's the one behind in the vortex of danger, with better visibility on what's happening, and having space to the left. Both were going for Charles' slipstream and Sainz lost Checo's exact positioning in his blind spot since he lost ground with the understeer into the corner. I'd say 45% Sainz for not checking his mirrors, 55% Checo on tunnel visioning on Leclerc and forgetting he didn't finish the move on Sainz.

Agree. The whole idea that a dirty word being said or a boob being shown on network TV is somehow worse than a person being shot is in itself just fucking ridiculous.

He gave the shortest responses in a press conference today and held a separate press conference outside to stick the finger up at the FIA. It was hilarious to watch!

Cool, I missed it. I thought it would be great if every driver said fuck during their PC as a show of solidarity

Gonna be sad if this was Danny Ric's last race. F1 is gonna miss his presence.

However, I do think VCARB sending him out to steal the fastest lap from Norris when he wasn't eligible for getting the point (since he was out of the top 10 with no shot of making it in) is pretty obvious collusion, since it only benefits Red Bull and Verstappen by denying Mclaren the extra point.

At the minimum, the rule should be rewritten to say fastest lap by a driver who finished in the top 10, not fastest lap overall, but I'd make the case the beneficiaries should also be docked points.

Man to be honest I think it'd be cool that any driver could get that point for fastest lap....because could you imagine the bottom 10 making pit stops to have a fastest lap war over that point? That's add some spice lol.

It would be interesting, but how would you try to maintain the "spirit" of racing instead of trying strategies like sitting in the pits to get into an open track window or using a car as a rolling "block" to slow down competitors (since the concept of impeding kind of goes away during the race)?

I don’t know but cars finishing outside the points already have nothing to lose. Idk it would have its pros and cons.
