Hey,

i got my car professionally tuned 3 days ago. Barely drove since then. Did a 5 mile drive just for fun, little pull in second gear but no redline - no cel. Then i reflashed my tuners .mhd file to add exhaust settings. Completed the flash and now without driving anywhere I got a CEL. I flashed it again and basically made everything like it was before. Drove 5 feet still CEL.

I'm sh****ng bricks now that I might have fucked something up. I checked MHD logs and it says "DME: None". Did I fuck something up ??

Help is really appreciated.

Edit: catted DP, 470 HP, no other mods.

470 HP? Wow! If you hit 469 you wouldn't have any codes!

Chill bro, clear the codes and drive normal. They will all disappear after a few drive cycles, I get 3-4 codes if I flash mind (MHD) and clear them right away.

I cannot explain why your car is showing a CEL lamp without any active codes. But if this were my car, I'd clear codes and go on with my life, never thinking about it again.

Ahh so it's normal that you get CEL that won't immediately disappear if you flash your car ? I use MHD+ as well. Sorry if this is a common question but my tuner didn't warn me about this and I'm new to flash tunes.

You’re good mate. Quite common. Clear them and drive a bit, see if anything comes back.

It’s absolutely garbage now, totaled engine, since it says DME : Active Codes : None. If you actually had codes, maybe it would be ok, but you have no codes, so garbage. Sell to me for $200, I’m being generous.

sorry, do people know how to read and comprehend anymore? Bro, go back to stock, do yourself a favor if you can’t understand this.

You are fine. As everyone here suggested, clear the codes and drive it. Everything is adapting to the new map and sometimes the system tweaks out for a second but corrects itself.

Unfortunately, flashing with MHD+ doesn't seem like a very exact science. I get weird oil errors after every flash and sometimes a tyre pressure one. It's all very buggy and MHD just ignores you when you tell them about it. The manual hasn't been updated in years either.

As others have mentioned, things generally clear after a few cycles but it's not a good look.

Highly recommended you get a shop that will work with you & knows what to do. It’ll give you a huge peace of mind when you do. After you find one, go out and find a 2nd one. It’s good to have two.
