HKS Exhaust performace.

Just installed a HKS exhaust on my 2021 Supra and WOW!. The butt meter indicates a nice, impressive power gain-HKS states +30HP. The only issue I have with the exhaust is that while driving around at 30 to 40mph there's a little drone-7th gear. A little sprint the exhaust has no drone and while on the highway there's isn't a drone. Well worth the money ($2,300 )

I installed the AWE touring exhaust and haven't really felt a power gain, but the sound is so much better.

Don't most (if not all) exhausts add MAYBE 3-5hp? Or is it different on this car

Do you have any other mods? If you don't have tune and more air in I don't think you will get thirty more HP. I have a Ecu Tek tune, Pure 800 Turbo, high flow cated down pipe, Eventuri carbon fiber cold air intake, flex fuel kit, larger charge pipe, Titan Meth injection and 29 lbs of boost. with doing this a different exhaust was needed to have less air flow restriction. I installed Akapovic titanium exhaust which gave me 40 more HP by Dyno. My point is if I had not made these changes I would have left stock exhaust on. I'm not saying you didn.t get more HP but not 30 as the company claims unless you do more mods.This is how they claim this much HP improvement all the companies do this . They use these numbers on cars that have more mods then you could get thirty more HP. I'm sure you gained some and your car sounds a lot better. So with this exhaust you are set up to do more mods and take advantage of your new exhaust. Sounds like you got a great exhaust and would like to hear about any other mods you do. All this is based not on my opinion but result of many different shops and tuners. I'm sure some will claim these numbers. and I'm not here to make waves just pointing out what I know.

Yes, HKS states that it's 30hp gain, which I don't have much faith in. But my butt meter thinks it's about 10hp gain

That sounds about right but could be less but not more

The factory exhaust is fairly free flowing as it is. I would expect gains to be minimal at best. The biggest restriction is the massive Catalytic Converter on the downpipe, see pic below.

Congrats! How and where did you even get this exhaust? I tried ordering one back on December and around March I gave up on the wait and switched my order to a Magnaflow……..I’m still waiting for it to arrive.

I highly doubt that exhaust, without a tune or a downpipe will make any difference at all. The stock exhaust is highly free-flowing. It's likely you're feeling a placebo, the sound + knowing you dropped a bunch of cash will do that.
