Wish they would just do a stock vs stock to see how much normal-folk sports cars have progressed over the decades.

Two randomly modified cars, the most race-focused being piloted by someone who's driven on that track dozens of times... against someone who has never been on that track? The Supra must be the better car, just by keeping it so close.

not the best "test" for sure, but it speaks volumes both about the S2000 as an amazing platform even after all these years, and the Supra being such a new platform being able to keep up against an arguably better driver (more experience on that track)

This also goes to show you that it’s all about the “driver.” The Supra has significantly more hp than the s2k. Imagine what the s2k can do if it was boosted? The s2k is a time attack king. Car was built for the track!!
