How much power before invasive TC?

I was wondering how much power and torque it takes before Sport Traction becomes somewhat useless? I see some tuned A90s using VSC off, but this for me means you have to be very alert about road surfaces/tire temps, when any sliding is involved.

I fell in love with Sport Traction once I got enough seat time learning how to counter steer and power out of a corner. It feels like the Supra was meant for this, but then again it is a BMW underneath.

So I’m curious at what point with adding power does Sport Traction become too invasive during aggressive turning and sliding out of a corner?

When you click the traction button once and press the sport button once. You will see Sport Traction inside the RPM gauge on the instrument cluster.
I believe it’s the equivalent or similar to MDM on older BMW M cars, so the half way traction setting.

I found even with stock power, the car is a completely different animal (in a good way) with all the VSC and TCS off completely.

I am experienced with high power RWD cars though, not that a stock A90 is high powered.

Yeah, I agree that everything off does transform the car. Throttle input becomes a serious thing with VSC off when entering a corner. It gives you all the power so you have to know how to catch the car from snap oversteer if it happens.

I like sport traction on the street a bit more because it makes the throttle feel linear even though it’s the half way traction control keeping everything tidy. This with aggressive toe in settings makes the steering feel telepathic during any countersteering.

I haven’t ever turned off any of the traction/vsc. Keeps me from doing anything TOO stupid.
