Ohh yeah lol!
I am so disappointed with toyota rn. It's like they have something to hide. Where's the production Supra? And to think I stayed up half the night for it...
Cheerful side tho, they will have to sell at least a few GR editions for homologation.

I like big rear ends and I cannot lie.
Any experts think there is still a chance for an active wing after seeing the hatch on the GR?

Not an expert lol, but I'm fairly certain that's a negative. Size, weight, and cost being the main reasons.

so....no wing...no manual...and possibly another year before we see a production car..................alrighty then.

Will mos def have:

1) Active aero, deployable wing, big diffuser
2) Carbon/CFRP weight-saving construction
3) B&O, burmester sound system
4) Carbon ceramic brake option
5) S58 straight-six with 475-500 horsepower
6) Suhweeet 7spd dual clutch box
7) Levi's favorite transaxle

At least that's everything that I've heard so far.

Well the latest interview via EVO says...
Maybe they are rethinking their no-manual decision in light of all the backlash they've been getting here and (more importantly) in the auto media. (At least that is my wishful thinking lol.)

Seems more likely though that his noncommittal reply was simply an avoidance tactic, he didn't want to get into an embarrassing discussion about why the car won't be getting a manual. Unless they have already done the engineering work, how could they possibly add a manual to this car when they are only half a year or so away from the start of production?

I'm sure Tada did this on purpose now, just to see how weak the argument of the demographic making it so.

A few days later, he gets to talk and say, well, now, we're trying out these options. The fans might have managed to get the board to rethink thier decision

I’m sure they look on forums and see what people want.

My money is they will have a manual option. They will get more sales that way.
Especially this forum.
I feel like they have a manual option, but they're not showing it just to build suspense. Akio Toyoda's a smart guy, and he knows that if they screw their best GT, and a continuation of the legendary Supra, by not offering a manual (even the MkIV had a gated box), then nobody from the enthusiast community will appreciate the car, sales will flop, and people will start looking at Toyota as a useless import that milked a legend, then left it to spoil.
