Ask yourself if you actually got a Cayman GT4 or GTS...would you be willing to drive it to Home Depot? I like to think the Supra is a go anywhere for whatever reason car.

Dude I drive my Boxster GTS to Home Depot. Hell, I even bought a foldable workbench and brought it home in the passenger seat.

What I really want, even more so than a '23 MT Supra, is a stripper C8 Corvette (1LT or 2LT) with Z51 Pkg. at a reasonable price.

Same here! The Supra was supposed to be my bridge car until the Vettes prices cooled off. I sold my last C7 and refuse to pay over $65k. All I had and still need is the 1LT trim.

Alternatives, all very different from one another:

2024-2026 Supra 3.0 6MT
2023+ GR Corolla w/Torsen LSDs
2022+ GR86 6MT
Down the road... 2025(?)+ GR86 successor if the current rumors pan out

My overwhelming preference is a Supra 6MT to park alongside the 2JZGTE SC300.

There's also the Nissan TT Z with the LSD package and the Miata with LSD and Brembo brake package is always a solid option... but I'd prefer a GR vehicle... since there are three different GR models available.

I was 'on the list' for a manual '23 but that ended up falling through. The new Z is a bit of a turd but the Nismo may be promising. In either event, I decided to punt and wait and see what happens between the two as the market settles. I still needed a manual trans car to start tracking so I just picked up this:

2019 Z06, 2LZ, M7 I strongly considered another C6 ZR1 (one of the only cars the word 'regret' enters my mind RE: selling) but ultimately glad I went with the last gen/MY manual.

I'm still undecided whether to aim for a 23 white Supra or a 24, but I would like to get a white one next to my black one. I am not sure I'd get the MT variant though as I like glossy paint and have been pretty set on wanting a red interior which both can only be had in an AT. And as you all maybe saw, I'm more a 4 banger turbo kind of guy when it comes to MT driving.

I will decide around DEC what to do as that is probably a good time to place an order for a late APR/early MAY delivery. I don't want to take delivery until after roads are washed away from salt.

EDIT: oh craps, you can only get black interior now unless the MT brown? blaaahh..!
