Illinois - Emissions Test 4th Fail.

That is strange, if I am reading your Autel reader right, the Catalytic Converter is still marked as "NOT SUPPORTED".

The "Download to Update" means there is a new version of the software flash for that map - you should go to "OTS Maps" Section and find download/flash to the latest version of the Map.

As you have a 2020, I wonder if you are having the same issue that our friend above "Razorlab" has where he has to flash to the "Stock Tune" in order to get his monitors ready as the Emissions monitors will not be ready in any other map regardless of what he sets the "Catalytic Converter" and Cold Start to.

When you come home today I would download the updated maps (Stage 2 and Stock Tune) and flash to "Stock Tune" and then repeat the drive cycle.

defintely wont pass. CAT needs to not be greyed out. and show a green ready sign (green check mark)

Update:
I had to get an extension for $50. I have until Sep, so I have time, but I am still working to get it on.

I currently have all of the sensors enabled and got the cat sensor enabled with the stock tune and all of the settings are set to OEM on BM3.

I just can't seem to turn on the HRT or EVAP sensor for emission testing. Apparently in IL you can only have 1 failed sensor after your 1st failed testing. So I am currently trying to get one of the HRT or EVAP on. I've put over 600mi on the car on express/highway/ and rural roads. I also tried doing the BMW smog drive test for about 2 cycles with sub 3000 rpms and non stop driving. I've also been driving with no ac for a cycle and with ac for cylce. Still not turning on.

I currently ordered a new gas cap/cover to see if this is somehow not working as intended hopefully this works.

If not I might have to do the BMW smog drive test again at like 2am or 5am on the express way for about 5 runs or so to see if this turns on xD.

Otherwise I am still stuck with these two settings. At least I got the cat to turn on xD. I do gotta say it helped me flash to stage 2 drive for a while and flash to stage 1 with all oem settings enabled for my cat to register. After a couple of mi it turned on.

You have the 02 sensor heater passed. That is what is stopping him from being ready.

I've driven from Downtown IL to Valpo ID and still hasn't turned on during the dive xD.

sometimes its your driving habit isnt enough for everything to be ready. Try driving 60 or so miles on the clear highway with safe high speed lol
