My thoughts exactly. AWE touring resonated seems perfect from a sound perspective but i didn’t like how the mufflers hung so low under the car. SP1-R looks incredible, and will go very well with a carbon rear diffuser. Is the valance you’re getting different than a difffuser? I’m not familiar with the strakes and having to cut those out of the way

these are the strakes, they fit the stock exhaust almost perfectly. But the AWE exhaust they hit, I’d have to cut 4+ inches off.

Oh i see. Didn’t know they extended under like that. This is super random but I’m contemplating this MB style seibon diffuser or the oem one. I wonder if that’s different underneath, i know it has 2 strakes instead of 4, and interestingly in the photos of oem style carbon diffuser it doesn’t have holes for rear sensors. Still haven’t seen a carbon diffuser with only one hole for an exhaust I wonder if you could request they make it custom

Went with the duel Tomei, fits really well. My boys & I installed it in my garage, hardest part was keeping everything semi loose and getting it into position, then snugging it down. My sons friends came over and loved the look, figment and then the sound of it. Not sure I could go with a single exit though.

Does anyone make an exhaust with reasonably sized tips? I feel like every single exhaust I look at has these ginormous 5-in exhaust tips which looks ridiculous. I'm driving a car, not playing need for speed. There is no need for them to be more than three or four inches.
I guess I could always just buy a canister and fab up my own. I was just hoping I could find something done already.

tomei has no tone or refined at all. I personally prefer AWE

While I don’t have a catted DP, I can 100000% say the Tomei is louder than the AWE Touring Resonated. While waiting to find out what’s going on with my SP1R exhaust, i threw a Tomei single on just to test out. Honestly it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be, way deeper and no raspy sound that I was expecting. Having both though I can say the Tomei is louder. I don’t have a could start, turned off in my tune so this isn’t bad at all. Though if I had to decide I’d probably put the AWE back on…. Well I know I would. If this SP1R deal falls through then that’s what I’m doing, cutting the strakes off the rear valance and installing the AWE back on.
