I have these battery tools. I have used and love the battery tire inflator and decided to try out the fan.

I know it will not move enough air to dramatically reduce temps but i feel it helped- maybe even helped the "health" of the engine getting some of the brutal heat off components between sessions. I was aiming it where i thought the most heat would be sitting...

Ran on high for 4- 20 min plus in between sessions. Was brutally hot in VA sat and was just trying to help a little. I gave up and went home after lunch- just no fun being that hot for no real reason other than for fun.

battery was still going strong. forgot to look at little led battery gauge but will tonight

I have a battery tire inflator by Worx and tools and craftsman's battery tools. Will look into portable fans thanks for the post.

certainly extra fan may be helpful..

my recommendation to all HPDE /w stock supra has been leave the hood closed. Because, after spirited run, fan is on even engine is off until engine cools down to certain degree and if you open the hood, the air blown into engine bay from front immediately exit into ambient air, not reaching deep into engine bay like it was designed to be. Hence leave the hood closed as least until fan is off. Although it is just theory I have but I've seen warnings on supra that had hood open as well.

I really love this engine, weight & price point of the Supra. Hope I can test her out on track before you do jump ship :)

Supra even in stock form is really really good on track

the extra coolers just buy you a little time The only “fix” is one of the $$ intercoolers

If you or anyone in VA would like to come to my home track as my guest please message me

Hey if you don't mind throwing me your honest opinion, I'd like your take on the 21+ Supra as a SCCA T2 track car. I've been racing SCCA for a few years now in T1-LP and am in the market and on the fence between the M2C and the Supra. I see a couple threads here on heat soak, limp mode, and even a couple blown turbos. You mention here that the Supra MUST have the aftermarket intercooler. This is a little concerning to me as the T2 spec line does not allow for an aftermarket intercooler. So its either a letter to the Rules Committee for an allowance (gamble) or select another car. Thoughts?

I’m in max 2

not nearly the issues if you are stockish power. It is a great platform! I was cross shopping the m2

even with out the intercooler and on humid 90deg VA days. I can get in enough laps to set prettydamn fast times for scca tt. The only max2 that beats me is …… another Supra. Lol

in spring and fall I don’t not really have the issue. Pm me a number if you want to chat. Happy to share what I have learned

love the m2. In the end the Supra moved me more Both great choices. Can’t go wrong w a bmw at the track

Sounds like sticking to grip (pun intended), tires, seats, suspension, and the mildest of tune only for mod exhaust/intake, the Supra will have no issues. Really good to hear from people who are actually tracking their cars. Apprecyatit!
