Ok. My 2 cents. But you do what you feel is right. I believe since you have digital coming coming in, you would wanna stick w it. The helix piece allows you to keep it. I’m 2-3 years removed from my build, so I forget some of nuances we ran into. I just remember knowing you needed the sdmi25 to start Your putting some nice gear in, might as well give it every opportunity to sound best.

Go with the SDMI25 and go full digital.
Everything else is a waste.
The DSP will open up so many options!

FYI: The SDMI25 only outputs stereo. Your parking sensor sound won't be able to come from the front left, rear right corner, and so on anymore. They will just be left and right.

I appreciate the feedback and encourage it that’s why I asked. But if you by-pass the factory amp doesn’t that create other issues with warranty? Is the helix worth $900? I’ve never had a DSP system before so with this setup I assume it will already sound better than any I’ve had before? My budget has already been blown out of the water but another $900 fir that device used seems excessive.

You used to be able to get that helix piece for 500 bucks. I think helix stopped making it.

you will not lose factory warranty losing the amp. And you can do factory resets also without it.
The Supra is a great platform for audio. I’ve actually changed every speaker location in the car and working on a front sub as we speak

Here’s some photos of the install, finishing up the beauty panel today and will add some LEDs later (ordered)

Yes shallow 12"s
Cool thanks. I'm looking at throwing in a single SI SQL 12, same dimension as one of those JL boxes, just 3" taller. Nice to see how much space 1 of those boxes will take up.

My installer was going to build a custom box but came up with this idea instead saved some money and fab work and once the beauty panel is installed no one would know it's just factory JL boxes.
