The average 30something making enough money to afford this car will not place too much emphasis on how true it stays to the Supra name. They will want a good driving car that is value for their 55-60k.
Yes and No. Depending on what this car turns out to be. If they are giving us a modern 370Z and charging an additional $15k+ because its a 'Supra'; some of us who have been following this car will see that and keep shopping. We live in a good era with a lot of choices and a few more to come. Keep in mind the used car market will only get bigger with time as well.

Going into the gaming side of the world for you gamers out there. Sony made the Playstation. They followed it up with a PS2, then the PS3, and we now have the PS4. Microsoft made the Xbox. Followed up by the Xbox 360 and now the Xbox One. These companies stuck with the name of the consoles. All of these were successors to its predecessor. Now there's a reason why most expect this new Supra to be better than the MKIV (stock & modified). That reason is because Toyota decided that this car is worthy of the name. Lets just hope that worthy factor was not only taken into account when talking profits $$$. If so, Toyota it's not too late to give this another name.

Finally, we're on topic! LOL

How old was that photo?
I noticed this while watching the Goodwood video (where they open the hood to showcase the engine) and the carbon bit in the interior part caught my attention.

Start at 0:18....it's there.

I wonder if that's a carbon fiber piece that is part of the interior or if that's a glimpse of the transmission tunnel? Either way nice find.

yeah, if it's ever been done before

That would be cool if more "real" carbon bits would be in the MKV interior and not the Z4. Throw in some nice OEM Recaro's and it could be enticing...
