Yesterday, I went to get my engine oil changed around 4500 miles for the first change. While they had the car up in the air, the tech called me back to show me that the trans pan had a leak. Service manager, says it will be covered under warranty and they can order parts, and will be able to knock it out tomorrow. I leave my car with them, as it seems pretty straight forward to change the pan gasket and bolt gaskets. I call them today around 2:30pm as I have not heard from the dealership... "We have some bad news"... looks as if Toyota is interested to see how and why the gasket has failed and is leaking. As of right now the dealership is waiting on word way about their paygrade to see what they are going to have to do with the car because they aren't sure the pan cover is reusable... So either replace gaskets and reseal, or perhaps swap the entire trans... jesus, what a headache... Also I leave for christmas holiday tomorrow and will be gone for 2 weeks...
